Stinson Hunter aka Keiren Parsons lured and tricked Michael Parkes into thinking he was going to meet with a 12 year old girl that he met online for sex. Michael Parkes is 45 years old and there was no 12 year old girl. Hunter pretended he was a 12 year old girl online to lure Parkes out and videotape him attempting to meet the fictitious girl.
Hunter has caused a controversy by posting videos of his meetings online including the video of Mr. Parkes. For some reason police are critical of his methods. When it comes to pedophilia, I am not quite sure what the appropriate and proper way is to flush out troubled individuals. I would think any evidence in this manner would be applauded rather than criticized.
The Northamptonshire Police who arrested Parkes on May 29, 2013, said they were going to prosecute him based on the evidence (believed to be provided by Hunter the online vigilante) they had. They will never get that chance however.
Shortly after being arrested Parkes made bail. Before charges could be brought against him he committed suicide. He was found in his vehicle with a ligature around his neck. A doctor that was in the area tried to resuscitate him to no avail.
Life Prior to the Incident
Parkes’s doctor stated in early 2013 he was feeling depressed after separating from his partner of 3 years while she was pregnant with his child. He was prescribed anti-depressants at that time.
Dr. Weenekes (Parkes Dr.) was quoted saying, “When I saw him he said he was going through a bad patch, had financial difficulties, no access to his son and had been arrested by the police on what he said were false allegations – however, he did not explain further,”
It’s apparent that his life was crumbling right before his eyes. There isn’t much that has been reported in regards to his financial stability or as to how often he was seeing his son.
What is surprising to me is that the police frown upon Hunters techniques and say that he could get in the way of an ongoing investigation. How can they frown upon a man and his team for being proactive and possibly finding more of these predators than police do? I would rather have him doing what he is doing the not doing it in the small chance it interferes with some sort of police investigation. Though I will say they didn’t say it ever had interfered with an investigation. Silly reasoning in the writers opinion.

Who is Stinson Hunter?
This man and his team deserves a much larger write up in the Vigilante Justice website than a small paragraph (and he will get one). But essentially he and a team have set up numerous fake profiles of children between the ages of 11 and 15. He never reaches out to others and waits for those to reach out to him. He does not engage in the conversations first.
If those pedophiles try to meet up with the fictitious children he confronts them in person and explains he has no intention of harming them but wants them to explain themselves. After the interview or interrogation he turns over the evidence to the police and usually the predators are arrested.
Stintson-Hunter is one of many vigilantes that does things like this. As more are found, more will be shared.
